Good questions
Is Bag Guy a government or SNAP app?
No. Bag Guy is an independent app. It is not affiliated with, endorsed by, or sponsored by the USDA, SNAP, or any state agency. To apply for SNAP or ask about your benefits, contact your state SNAP agency.
Can I pay with my EBT card in Bag Guy?
No. Bag Guy doesn't process payments or benefits. You pay at the store or on the store's own website the way you normally do.
Does "SNAP-friendly" mean an item will always be covered?
No. It means the item is usually SNAP-eligible under federal rules. Eligibility is decided at the register, and some states restrict items like soda and candy. See What SNAP covers.
Are Bag Points worth money?
Bag Points have no cash value and can't be exchanged for cash. If we add ways to redeem points, we'll explain them clearly in the app first.
How much will I save?
It depends on what you buy, where you shop, and which offers are available in your area. We won't promise a number we can't back up. Any figures shown on this website are examples.
